University of Utah Controller's Office records 1946-1979 1960-1979

The office of Controller was separated from that of Secretary and made part of the office of the Business Vice President in 1960. The title of controller was abolished and the functions of the office transferred to the new office of Financial Vice President in 1968. The office and title were reestablished in 1973 with the creation of the current office of Vice President for Administrative Services. This collection contains memoranda related to the development of financial and accounting policies, as well as audit reports. Included are correspondence files from 1973 to 1979 after the office was reestablished.
